The Awakening 

Today I awaken to love 

Today I felt magic entangled in the sprinkling of snow. 

While I drifted among the trees 

Today the warmth of summer sprung in my soul 

Filling and regenerating a love I haven't seen 

Today I abandon all hope of lonely despair wrapped in bitter disappointment. 

Today I chose to reach and grab what is mine. 

Today I command love to stay and fight for me 

As I throw open the door to doubt, 

melting down steel bars 

locked around my mind.
