Scars I Wear
The scars I bear
Are my wounds
From loving you
The imprint of
Soft kisses I
Wear across my lips
My heart has been pierced
With the hollow holes
bleeding drops
Of Aching sorrow
I shiver from the breeze
Flowing through my body
Without you here
To keep me warm
Eyes blind to your
Visual presentation
Standing before me
No more
Soul wondering aimlessly
Across the desert
In desperate search
Of a mirage
To fill this empty space
Hoping the rainfall
Will wash my torturous
Pain away
As I stare in the darkness
Of love with you
Emotions in
Combat with my
Reality of being
Battered
Beaten
Bruised
And Broken
I bear
I wear
My love for you
Still
