Eventually Naked
Eventually reality hits
Saying
Loving you was never any good
As I stare with blurry vision
You walking with your new love
Eventually reality
Screams
Wake up to the past
Our love was a season
As winter turns to spring
I wished you well
From spring to summer
Eventually
I take solace in knowing
Our Love was a garment you wore
to be discarded
When a new trend begin
Leaving me
Balled up and wrinkled
In the back of the closet
Never to be adorned by your
Fashionable emotions again
Eventually
I outgrew your suntan
My skin craved from
The sun I loved in you
Eventually
The Nightmare of you
Became
The afterglow shining
Between the shaded trees
As it erased my memory
Of you
At sunset
Eventually
I moved in
Different contrast
Between erupting volcanoes
And
Calming seas
But
Eventually
I learn to wear me
Naked and alone
Eventually
